Teaching And Learning

Welcome to Teaching and Learning! This page will replace Curriculum and Instruction as the place to learn about curriculum, instruction and assessment in the Concord Public Schools and the Concord-Carlisle Regional School District.
Teaching and Learning is a good way to summarize the work of the schools. Our ongoing goal is to improve student achievement (learning) by improving instruction and assessment (teaching). As a district, our curriculum (what we want students to know and be able to do) is aligned with Content Area Standards that are based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and National Standards.
This page is a work in progress. I've included information and links that represent current information, and I'm working with instructional leaders, K-12, to update other topics. Additionally, I am planning to include "showcases" of student and teacher work as illustrations of the high quality teaching and learning that are hallmarks of the Concord Public Schools and the Concord-Carlisle Regional School District.
Please contact me if you have any questions, comment or suggestions. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you!
